Not limited to just football games, the Marching Ravens also take part in
numerous parades and other events around the Baltimore area during the
Ravens offseason. As such, Baltimore's Marching Ravens are currently seeking
musicians of all marching instruments (sorry... pianos are too
difficult to carry on the field). Additionally, flagline recruits and equipment
crew personnel are also being sought.
But of course, you have nagging questions going through your mind:
"But I've never marched before?"
That's easy...we can teach you that.
"And I haven't picked up my horn in years?"
Many of our members have joined after several year "sabbaticals" from playing.
"But I don't have my own instrument?"
No problem...through a special deal with Yamaha, the band
supplies the majority of the instruments.
"But I don't have the time?"
Well...that one's a little tougher. You know your schedule best, but as
for time commitments, we practice one night a week (Wed) at the Ravens Training
Facility and then of course performances (you don't want to practice for nothing). It
does take a fair amount of time, but we think it's worth it though. Come out and decide
for yourself.
So if you're interested in joining, contact us by calling our band president,
John Ziemann, at (410) 557-8335 or fax at (410) 557-6385.
Looking forward to seeing you!!!
